Description

I named this vessel Random Thoughts because it reminds me how thoughts pop into my head. I chose these woods to use because of the colors and grain patterns. There was no attempt at a pattern. Each piece randomly chosen. However, if you look closely, there are spots when the same woods are next to each other or on top/ underneath. So some thoughts are lasting longer than others.

All the open segments were cut and glued on one at a time. Over 2100 total pieces.

Woods used: Bloodwood, Canarywood, Cherry, Leopardwood, Mahogany, Maple, Purpleheart, Sapele, Tarara, Walnut, Wenge and Yellowheart. The base and rim are out of Granadillo wood.
